ART FROM SCRATCH, aka. how I found a new name for my site that’s catchy and NOT TAKEN YET.

I am a huge fan of black and white photography. I am a fan of starting blog posts with cliché sentences, too, it seems. I don’t only love taking black and white photos for the sake of it but I am also fond of synthesising them in my work.

You seem like a nice guy. You really do. Delicate, even – considering that you developed these feelings for me during this short period of time. Your love note truly warmed my heart but made me feel guilty at the same time. Maybe it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have let you this close. I shouldn’t have let you think that this was anything more than you bringing me letters and the parcels.

FACT No.1: The peanut butter and jam toast phenomenon is the tendency of the piece of bread, when it falls, to land PBJ-side down in the majority of instances. Whilst this was once considered to represent mere pessimism, a form of Murphy’s law, scientific evidence for the phenomenon has been found.
I’ve seen this architectural phenomenon many times on my way to Cranleigh. It caught my attention right away because, well, a gate that refuses to be a gate makes me question the very base of my studies.

So this little ‘attention door’ cannot be told what a gate should do. Separating and connecting at the same time, for instance. (How poetic of a few pieces of brick and some cement!) But this one only stands by the road, not separating nor connecting, just looking very mysterious. Even suspicious if You ask me. But I guess, that’s just the way portals to other dimensions are nowadays…
