A lovely lady from Belgium contacted me on behalf of her Christian Organisation/ Church looking for a graphic designer to create a brochure for them. She told me that they do a lot of social work and have five churches located in Montreal (Canada), Geneva (Switzerland), Wuppertal (Germany), Paris (France) and Brussels (Belgium) where their headquarters is.
She explained to me that they help people with many different issues such as anxiety, alcohol problems, depression, Aids, etc and this brochure would be a self-help brochure for these people with Biblical references on how to be free.
As for the design she sent photos to me to include and asked me to use lively colours of spring which symbolise new beginnings and hope. They needed the brochure in both French and English.
I was really happy for this project not only because of the purpose but also because of the freedom I got from my client. She only gave me a very few guidelines and she was very open for my ideas and suggestions. I’ve got to use my hand-drawn flower patterns and any project that allows me to do that has to be one of my favourites.
