Sam Garratt contacted me recently about a logo for his new company called Pirate Bar Crawls which runs bar crawls & bespoke events in and around London. PBC’s aim is to craft nights from beginning to end that are both low cost and packed with free entry & drinks in a variety of venues, taking the hassle and worry out of one’s night out.
Sam was very straight forward and clear about what him and his partner wanted and that was a stamp-like logo with crossbones and a skull in the middle that is wearing a red bandana. They wanted the whole image to have a little bit of a distressed or grainy look and they were looking for a font that looks… well, piratey enough to compliment the whole art work.
I was very fond of working with Sam again (I designed some things for him in the past) because it always goes very smoothly and efficiently with fast turnarounds. He knew what he wanted and it turned out to be a cool Pirate Bar Crawls Logo that I’m happy to add to my portfolio as well.
