Let me start with a little personal story. I’ve realised that when I buy gifts to others, it really feels like I’m literally buying my way out of a situation where actual effort and thought process should happen. Even when I get something that the person wants or needs. It’s just so easy to go and buy it or even do it on the internet which takes a minute. Gift done, that’s it. Yeah yeah, I spent my money on it which costed free time I had but it’s not like I intentionally worked extra hours to earn that money, it’s something I would have, regardless. So I do feel guilty when I present stuff to others that took me only minutes to get. Especially when it’s another body lotion or box of chocolate that I always get because I already know that they like it. Very easy and mechanical. No effort needed.
And I know how loved I feel when my boyfriend cooks dinner or does the washing up while I’m getting ready or taking a shower. It does not cost him money but it takes effort, especially, that he has stuff to do just as much.
So these observations were the seeds that became this product. Coupon book for her was made to be gifted by those who really are committed to giving. Each coupon book has 21 coupons in it, all of which are basically a favour that the receiver can use any time. I.e. ‘The owner of this coupon would be grateful for breakfast in bed.’ The receiver of the coupon book can use these coupons any time she/he wants and the giver won’t say no.
There are 9 blank pages which can be filled out with absolutely anything by either member of the couple. Sounds a bit scary now that I think about it. But hey, if there is trust and compassion, no one will have to wash dishes for the rest of their lives.
Each page has a unique, hand-drawn design and the front cover and first page can be personalised with the name of the person who the book is for and a message from the one who gives the coupons .
